十岁的余卓颖热爱打乒乓球，命运让她遇上内地专才计划来港的教练--郭一，在专业指导下成绩骄人。惟卓颖胜负心重，遇上挫败而陷入低潮期，加上与母亲--芷昕沟通不足，渐生隔阂。 卓颖因态度问题遭郭一训斥，意气下扬言放弃打乒乓球，芷昕欲劝勉反增彼此矛盾。 郭一要求卓颖在一天之内训练母亲成一个合格的乒乓球手，以此要卓颖冲破难关。卓颖为求归队，毅然接受这个近乎不可能的任务…借着乒乓的魅力，卓颖逐渐拉近母女的距离。更明白教练与母亲，是支持自己最强大的后盾。。While waiting at a train station, Nikki Collins witnesses a murder from a nearby building.
