Average Texas teen, Billie Jean Davy, is caught up in an odd fight for justice. She is usually followed and harrased around by local boys, who, one day, decide to trash her brother's scooter for fun. The boys' father refuses to pay them back the price of the scooter. The fight for "fair is fair" takes the teens around the state and produces an unlikely hero.。2012年秋季 NHK 日剧 夫のもとから逃れ、息子を連れて家を出た主人公。住む場所も職も見つからず途方に暮れるなか、手助けしてくれたのは先輩シングルマザーたちだった。社会のさまざまなハードルを乗り越えながら、母も子も成長して行く。やがて「児童扶養手当」の削減という大きなハードルが立ち塞がる。そのとき、シングルマザーたちは国会の前に立っていた……。。
