清末民初，皇帝虽已退位，但紫禁城内仍是君君臣臣的小朝廷。民女容儿阴差阳错成为宫女后，与侍卫李琪结下渊源，又因自己聪慧活泼而受溥仪青睐。容儿出于对厨艺的悟性颇受寿喜姑姑赏识，寿喜收容儿为徒授其厨技。太监孙义仁诬陷寿喜盗窃宫内珍宝，“人赃并获”将寿喜置于死地。容儿不甘师傅冤死，与李琪并肩查案。盗宝奸人再度嫁祸容儿，幸有溥仪搭救才得以保命。二人向溥仪直言，孙义仁被处死。当大家庆祝寿喜沉冤得雪之际，冯玉祥军队将溥仪赶出紫禁城。幕后黑手身份逐渐浮出水面，他企图将宫中宝物转移卖给洋商的阴谋被容儿撞破。容儿与李琪联手追回国宝，让幕后黑手受到应有的惩罚。离开皇宫的容儿开了一家饭馆，人称“末代厨娘”。。Ryu is a skilled young writer who has a girlfriend, Pin, who he's dated since high school.
